Where Ancient Melodies Meet New Harmonies
Music is the soul of our worship. From traditional chants to modern arrangements, our services are alive with song, reflection, and community spirit.
Congregational music is sung at virtually every service and what a beautiful, inspiring sound that is. Our adult volunteer choir adds their voices to services once per month at Shabbat and at festival and High Holidays. We’re not serious all the time though – our Purim spiel is fun for the young and the young at heart. Our children’s choir participates in services as well as performs special outreach concerts at Sarah Chudnow.
Outside of services we also have a wonderful CEEBJ band that performs at local retirement facilities, synagogue events and upon request. In addition we have an annual variety show where our members showcase all their hidden talents.
Music Committee
Our music committee is actively involved in the annual Salute to Song & Spirit concert initiated by Cantor Barash. This is a major fundraising event where professional musicians are brought in for all to enjoy. The committee is also working to expand its role to begin working with the worship committee on congregational music as well as outreach and joint concerts within the community.
Please contact Richard Masters or Cantor Barash for further information or if you would like to become involved.
